Mr. Grier represents lenders in all types commercial loan transactions throughout the country, including permanent financing, conduit lending, mezzanine lending, construction lending and interim financing. Clients include insurance companies, banks and mezzanine fund lenders.
Commercial Purchases and Sales
Mr. Grier has a significant amount of experience in commercial acquisitions and dispositions of all property types including office buildings, shopping centers, hotels and apartment buildings thoughout the United States.
Mr. Grier has represented both landlords and tenants throughout his career. He represented a large multinational conglomerate in all leasing matters involving its large portfolio of shopping centers in the Chicagoland area and has represented landlords and tenants in leasing of Chicagoland office and industrial buildings. Mr. Grier represented a large mining company in its leasing of an underground limestone mine in the Chicago area.
Mr. Grier has represented purchasers and sellers of residential real estate in the City of Chicago and the suburbs. His experience includes representing buyers and sellers of single family homes, condominiums, co-operative apartments and time shares.
Mr. Grier has extensive experience representing developers of commercial and residential real estate both in the United States and in the Caribbean. He has also negotiated development agreements on behalf of both governmental authorities and developers. Mr. Grier was appointed by the Government of Aruba to a commission to draft model timeshare regulations for the Island.
Mr. Grier has represented large corporations in a variety of construction projects, including, negotiating the construction contract for a new world headquarters and the contract for the build-out of a trading desk in a commercial office building.
